The future of travel is here and now.

Saudi's newest airline, Riyadh Air, officially confirmed that the company will embrace the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence technology in order to provide passengers with a more customised travel experience, that will extend beyond solely travelling with Riyadh Air.

A first for the Kingdom, and a giant step towards the predicted future of travel, the Saudi Arabian travel industry will officially intersect following this latest announcement by Riyadh Air, with the airline set to begin regular flight schedules from early 2025.

This early adoption of a creative AI technology by Riyadh Air should not come as a surprise, as this perfectly aligns with the brand's future-thinking ethos and tagline of: 'The Future of Travel'.

Riyadh Air's strategic collaboration with AI provider, Adobe Experience Cloud will enhance the digital booking process for its customers, allowing for the seamless integration of other travel plans such as the booking of accommodation and a further onward travel, crafting a personalised travel experience for customers.

This end-to-end solution, set to be designed and implemented in collaboration with IBM Consulting, will be designed to serve both international travellers to and from Saudi Arabia and those journeying domestically within the Kingdom to make for a smoother trip, or integrate

The integration of AI in travel holds significant promise for the future of travel and of exploration for both brands and individuals.

This type of technology when integrated into the travel sector will facilitate personalised recommendations, lead to more streamlined booking processes, and enhance customer experiences through predictive analytics and virtual assistants, from itinerary planning and customer service to dynamic pricing and safety measures.

Riyadh Air revealed its first lavender-inspired livery at the Paris Airshow in June 2023, and in November the airline unveiled another iteration of the livery at the Dubai Airshow. The airline now will showcase dual-livery: the initial design unveiled a royal purple based design, whilst the second livery will be the inverted colour-way, with a white leading base.

Announced in March 2023, it was confirmed that Riyadh Air have entered an order for an initial fleet of 72 new B787-9 Dreamliner planes, rivalling other international carriers, with the aim of transforming the country into a global aviation hub serving more than 100 destinations globally by 2030.
